…a typical Unusual-Symptoms evening, cool, detached (…), which contains something you would not have expected here: real pain.
In recent years, the Catalan choreographer Núria Guiu Sagarra has developed a refreshing perspective on the body as reflected by its digital images, attracting international attention. In FUTURALGIA, she transfers this exploration to the ensemble. With the lockdown, the premiere planned for TANZ Bremen in spring 2020 was postponed and rehearsals shifted to the internet. The joint exploration of the cultural tools of the digital age expanded to include a level of direct personal experience between Zoom sessions, workout apps and yoga tutorials.
