OLGA PONA / THEATRE OF CONTEMPORARY DANCE CHELYABINSK (RU)

DOES THE ENGLISH QUEEN KNOW WHAT REAL LIFE IS ABOUT?
STARING INTO ETERNITY
2005

The industrial town of Chelyabinsk, across the border between Asia and Europe, is the residence of the choreographer Olga Pona. In her work she has been reflecting on post-communist Russia for ten years now. Her ensemble uses an independent body language based more on theatre-sketches than on perfect technique. In “Does the English Queen Know What Real Life is About?” they examine survival in difficult times. “Staring into Eternity” is an inner journey into the vulnerable side of men: Stop rushing.
