Five dancers crowd around a multifunctional ladder: All must climb up the rungs – and back down again. In the end, the career errs from the straight and narrow, practical constraints and routines take their toll. The rapid and sweaty choreographies increasingly take the members of the fooldance company to their physical limits. But there are Atempausen (Breathers): time holes in which surprises are welcome. Beyond the hustle and bustle of everyday life one finds what makes life worth living. Am I satisfied? If I had one free wish, what would I do?
   
Markus Hoft enthused his audience as a clown and pantomime before discovering – and studying – dance. He draws the material for his movements to explore everyday life from New Dance, contact improvisation, Action Theatre and Capoeira.
