Public in Private/Clément Layes
Allege
A ”dream” encounters an ”organisation”. The dream is in reality a worn cloth, the organisation just the lid of a bin. Nevertheless, a possibility arises ... The trained circus artiste, philosopher and dancer Clement Layes is in constant action. His activities: pouring, boxing, refilling. And what? Water, hollow words, contents. In allege he submits to self-imposed rules. The aim is to ask: How can I be free within the absurd limitations that I am subjected to without knowing why?
In the dance capital of Berlin, Croatian choreographer Jasna Layes-Vinorski and Clement Layes, who was trained in Lyon, founded the group Public in Private in 2008 to research social, political and cultural ideas and set them in motion. He is currently touring in the frame of Aerowaves, a European network for up-and-coming young choreographers.

BLOOM!
City
”Smile”, is the order a dry satnav voice gives from the off. ”Be sad. Right. Left.” The feet obey. The rest makes an effort. What shouldn’t one all be: elegant, emotional and professional, and in
addition sexy, entertaining and perfectionist. But unfortunately one is also asthmatic, neurotic, hysterical and impulsive. The members of Bloom! call their piece about the metropolis of today
City a ”pamphlet interwoven with movement”. Across all biases and genres, they dance it as a folk dance, a rhythmic absurdity machine, a constructivist formation – in a direct,
fearless and ironic way.
With their first collective work, the Hungarian group Bloom! won the Rudolf Laban Prize 2010 and a residency at Jardin d’Europe. They are on a European tour 2010/2011 within the
frame of the young talent network Aerowaves.
