The earth is round – that’s an irrefutable truth. Yet so relative. For the earth resembles a potato more than a sphere. The same is true of the human body: Seemingly clear physical limits can be shifted. Dance has always been interested in and fathomed purely mechanical boundaries, but also the barriers of perception. In Eingrenzenexperiment, the spectators follow dance in the dark, without being able to see it. Can movement be experienced just as intensively through other senses? And which means are necessary to have a lasting impact on a visually oriented audience?
     
tanzbar_bremen grasps itself as a collective of dancers, choreographers, dance and social pedagogues, as well as cultural producers with and without impairments. In 2009, the association organised for the first time the international festival for integrative contemporary dance, ’eigenARTig’, in Bremen.
